The short film “ÉG/I” touring film festivals
The short film ÉG/I continues to tour film festivals around the world.
The film has been travelling recently and screened at following film festivals:
RIFF – Reykjavík International Film Festival, Northern Wave International Film Festival, Vilnius International Film Festival, BFI Flare, FiveFilms4Freedom, the world’s widest-reaching LGBTQ+ digital short-film program, held by the British Council and BFIFlare. Vancoucer International Women in Film Festival. Vilnius in Lithuania as part of an Icelandic focus at Europos šalių kino forumas „Scanorama”.At The National Gallery of Canada as part of Inside Out Ottawa LGBT Film Festival.
At the Proud Film Festival in Aarhus Denmark. The film had its Russian premiere in Saint Petersburg at the international LGBT film festival Side by Side. And most recently at the Nordische Filmtage Lübeck.
ÉG/I received a GRAND JURY HONOURABLE Mention
The short film ÉG (I) received a Grand Jury Honourable Mention for Best International Short at the Academy Award-qualifying film festival Outfest in Los Angeles —North America’s premier LGBTQ film festival!
Short film ÉG (I) won THE BEST SHORT
In march 2019 the film won the BEST SHORT at Vancouver International Women in Film Festival.
The film also had its U.K premiere at the BFI Flare film festival and was selected to be part of the world’s widest-reaching LGBTQ+ digital short-film series, #FiveFilms4Freedom, held by the British Council and BFI Flare.

The film had its Lithuanian premiere at Kino Pavasaris Vilnius International Film Festival and most recently was officially selected and screened at the Inside Out LGBT Film Festival—Canada’s largest LGBTQ film festival at the TIFF Bell Lightbox

Premiere at RIFF
Dætur // Daughters
DÆTUR // DAUGHTERS is a short film I wrote and directed.
The film is now in post-production.
The story is a about a mother and her two daughters. While the mother is searching for love as a solution to her hardship her older daughter has had the responsibility to take care of her younger sister.

We just finished shooting the short film ÉG // I and are now preparing post-production.
The aim is to premiere the film early 2018!

Pre-production
We are currently in pre-production for the short film I // ÉG
The film is written and directed by me and Hallfríður Þóra Tryggvadóttir.
It is produce by GERVI Productions and Salka Film.
The story is inspired by Ugla Stefanía Kristjönudóttir Jónsdóttir.
Today Ugla flew from Brighton to work with us in Reykjavík with our leading actress Snæfríður Ingvarsdóttir.
